Viaggio in Islanda

Yesterday I went to Mc Donald's Sarinah Building not to have my breakfast but to have my private time in toilet. LOL. Yes, the traffic jam suffers me to hold my pee time!

Feeling quite guilty if I only use their toilet without buying anything, so since the toilet is on the 2flr where the Mc Cafe is, so I decided to buy A THING that turns to be TWO THINGS in Mc Cafe. (my payday is still a week away, so I need to be tight with my cash flow). Okay, I bought Tiramisu for IDR20,000 and Hot Chocolate for IDR16,500, so totally my breakfast cost IDR36,500. I failed again to tighten up my cash flow!

There is a 3 in 1 rule in major street in Jakarta. Sarinah is located in Jl. M. H Thamrin, and my office is located in Jl. Jend. Gatot Subroto which both are in the major street of Jakarta. So I have to wait till 10 AM when the 3 in 1 is over. It was still 09:30 AM, so I went to the 1sr flr to have my hot choco while waiting the clock move to 09:55 AM. While I'm sitting in the 1st, I saw this banner near to the exit door (why don't they put it at the entry door so people can read it!?!?!?!), "FREE HASH BROWN FOR EVERY BREAKFAST MENU PURCHASE" valid until Feb 28th, 2011. from 05:00 to 11:00 AM GREAT!!! I've spent IDR 36500 just for a slice of Tiramisu and hot choco while I can get more with less money. So I decided to go there again on the next day.

Here I am, on the next day, I went there again and having one of their breakfast menu (Hot Cakes), when I order it, the waitress ask me if I want to take the hash brown package or a la carte. Since I thought the meaning of what the banner says is I will get free hash brown for breakfast menu so I thought that the package itself means I have free hash brown by paying only for hot cakes and hot tea. Well, apparently I miss understood or the waitress didn't say it clearly or intended to trap me, when I order the breakfast package of Hot Cakes, what I got is the HOT CAKES (COUPLE OF PANCAKES WITH BUTTER&SYRUP), Hot Tea, and.............. TWO HASH BROWNS!!!  Yeah, right!!! I got double hash brown!! Because there is hash brown in the package and I got an extra free hash brown as the commercial says. If I knew that I will get 2 Hash Browns, I will prefer to order Hot Cakes a la carte and ice milo for drinks. Then I get only ONE hash brown. But well, I thought the menu is too big for me but it doesn't. I can finish it all with the ending went to the toilet before I continue my way to the office at 10 AM.
