Quote Of The Day

“You can't help respecting anybody who can spell TUESDAY, even if he doesn't spell it right; but spelling isn't everything. There are days when spelling Tuesday simply doesn't count.” ~Winnie The Pooh~

I'm not a vet but it based on my own experience that cat flu can cause death for cat, especially Kitten. Don't under estimate flu. Most of us might be think that flu for cat just same as flu for human that can be easily infected and cured. Logically, when we were infected by flu, we'll lose our taste of food. But as human, we can force ourselves to eat coz we know that if we want to get well then we must eat well and take total bed rest beside that flu medicine.

The same condition is also happening with cats (or maybe with other animal), when they got flu then they will lose their taste of food. But unfortunately, they won't force themselves to eat! As the worse the flu, the more they will lost their taste of food. Without food, they will get weaker and weaker and nose stuck to them will find hard to breath and finally.... They will be passed away...

Most of my kittens died caused by flu. They don't want to eat even I forced them to. I open their mouth and suck the food inside but in sec they will throw it all out. And now I will get too much worry if I see my kitten starts sneezing.

Well, not all my cats that got flu will end died, some of them who are big enough can get through and get well in a week or so. It needs them to push themselves to get well, to be fit, and to be healthy. They are the cats who have big spirit to live.

The point is, kitten is much weaker and unstable like adult cat. Weird weather in Jakarta gives big effect of cats get flu. So they need extra vitamins and milk to prevent them from infected by flu. It's so sad to see cats suffer in flu. It really sad...
