July 7th, 2011… The night was still young. I was still in the office when my cell phone rang. My friend told me that he found a kitten. The very unique one. The fur is sparkling on the light. He asked me if I want to pet it. I’m not really keen to get more some cats at first, but when he sent me the picture, it was really cute and I want it! Then I pet it and we named it, “LOKI”. He actually who named it “LOKI”.
Since the first time I saw Loki, I know he was so special. He’s not just an ordinary street kitten. He has a very unique pattern. It looks like an American Short Hair. The marble one. But Loki's fur has that golden sparkle when gets in to light. I found Loki as a Bengal Cat. His eyes still brown, so he might be the 1st generation.
Loki was about 3 or 4 months when I adopt him. Male and very cute!!!! One of Bengal character is very LOYAL and INTELLIGENT. Loki does have those two characters. He is very loyal to me that his loyalty finally kills him.
One day, I have to leave him for a night to Singapore. I left him free at the balcony, I didn’t put him in the cage because he never go anywhere before. But the story is different when he forces himself to find me. When I went home on the next day, I heard Loki’s voice crying on the street running to me. I hold him and took him to the car. His collar is missing and he has that wound on his neck. The wound looks already dry, but Loki got fever. I know something is not right. Fever is caused by infection. Then I took Loki to the vet. And my thought was so right! Behind that dry wound, there is a big deep hole on his neck to his head!!! Loki was bitten by a big stupid cursed dog!!! Poor my dear Loki. I took care of Loki’s wound so carefully. I hold him on my arms every night, shot him the medicine for his fever and food because Loki doesn’t want to eat cat food anymore. Loki only want to eat anything that comes from my mouth that the doctor said it’s not good for Loki. Because cat is not like dog that can consume human food. There are foods that can’t be digested by a cat and there is certain ingredient that needed by a cat. Unfortunately, I must go out of town for a week. Straight 7 days to out of nowhere that has no service at all! My only choice is to put Loki at the vet. I thought Loki should get better treatment at the vet with the more complete medic equipment and professionals. I took Loki to the vet on Tuesday night, October 11, 2011. I bring Loki’s favorite blanket, his medicines, vitamins, and honey. He was okay on the night I took him there even though I know he was so sad but I believe that Loki is a very intelligent cat that understands the situation. Besides, he will get much better treatment there with the 24 hrs doctors. Too bad, the fact is not that good. Even not close to good. They put Loki in the small iron box in the same room with the noisy dog! I hate to see that, but I have no choice. Loki needs doctors and complete equipments to heal him. I can’t just leave him at home with the other cats. Loki needs someone to shot the food to his mouth because he can’t it by himself.
It only takes TWO DAYS to make Loki passed away…. When Loki was gone, I called the vet and the doctor straightly gave an unstoppable self-defense. She said that Loki has unpredicted infection and they didn’t know it because they didn’t do blood test of Loki. The question is, “THEY ARE THE PRO, WHY DON’T THEY DO THE BLOOD TEST??? I’VE TOLD THEM, DO ANYTHING, I’LL PAY IT NO MATTER HOW MUCH IT COST! AND I ALSO HAD PAID IN ADVANCED”. I never trust or go to any vet since then... Loki has passed away but his spirit still live and will forever live in my heart. I know one day we’ll get back together again in the other world. Loki is now happy playing with Dudut, Decil, Witchy, Choky, Cleo, Saddam, and the others in heaven watching me down here living my life on earth. They want me to move on… Keep living my life to the fullest! The key of any of cat’s diseases healing is the warmth heart of yours. No matter how complete your equipment is, how pro you are as a vet or whatever, it means nothing if you didn’t take care of that cat with sincerity heart, with pure love! Here are the pics of Loki's wound progress in two weeks: 1. First wound found looks dry, but there is a big hole behind that dry wound:
