Viaggio in Islanda

About a week ago I feel bored with my routines... I feel like something is going to blow my head. Everything seems so wrong, I need an escape... But still can't figure what kind of escape I need, then I tried to read my deepest mind and heart, what I got is my passion to do something new. I need new challenge in doing something really new. Then I got the inspiration from my cats with its unique behavior. I see that every cat has their own unique personality and the way they communicate. So, I was inspired to get them captured in a comic book! Since I like to make a story but I don't feel satisfy enough just to share about my cats through a story, but I need to make something different, then I decided to make a comic book about my cats.

I already have all the illustration of what I wanna draw and write, but there is a major problem in this comic making series, well, it's a HUGE problem actually. Coz, I can't do the basic step of what we called that work as comic. That basic step is to make a drawing! Yes, I realize that I never good in drawing. But I'm not easily give up, I see this problem as a great challenge for me. Then I challenge myself to start learn how to draw a comic book. Since it's just for my sweet escape and there is no formal course for drawing a comic book in Jakarta, so I decided to have my very own self-learning! It is very challenging for me!

Thanks God, I'm living in this high tech era where communication is highly supported. Then I start the lesson by googling. I put that key word, "How to draw a comic book", then it turned to many helping result. From that result I was assisted to this great book, "How to Draw Comic Book for Dummies". And here is my very first lesson result:
